Offensive Player of the Year
QB — Carter Harris, Elk Grove, Sr.
The Sacramento Bee Offensive Player of the Year elevated his game when it mattered most. The senior rushed for 751 yards and 11 touchdowns during the postseason, leading Elk Grove to a Division II section title.
Defensive Player of the Year
LB — Marcus Jones Jr., Monterey Trail (Elk Grove), Sr.
The 6-foot senior was a true playmaker for T.J. Ewing's Mustangs. Had 134 total tackles, 101 solo, and 5.5 sacks for the Division I section runner-up.
Junior Player of the Year
Justin Lamson, Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills)
The 6-3 quarterback threw for 3,114 yards, 24 touchdowns and led the Trojans to a Division I section title.
Sophomore Players of the Year
Raleek Brown, Edison (Stockton) and Jonah Coleman, Lincoln (Stockton)
Brown was named a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American after rushing for 16 touchdowns. He caught an additional 9 scores and returned a punt for a TD as well.
Another Stockton sophomore star this year was Coleman. The Lincoln back finished with 1,587 rushing yards, 324 yards receiving and led the Sac-Joaquin Section with 35 TDs.
Coaches of the Year
Zac McNally — Whitney (Rocklin)
Coach McNally took a program that went 0-10 the year before to a Division II runner-up finish. The Wildcats finished 7-7 overall.
Chris Musseman — Ripon
Coach Musseman led Ripon to a 14-1 season and finished with 10 straight wins.
Andrew Beam — Escalon
Coach Beam led one of the country's top small school programs to a 14-1 season, culminated with a California Class 4-A bowl championship.
First Team Offense
QB — Bryce Gouker, Downey (Modesto), Sr.
The senior signal-caller led the section with 3,127 yards passing and was second with 37 touchdown passes. The Knights' QB had 4 interceptions in 255 attempts.
QB — Jacob Reithmeier, Folsom, Sr.
Another year, another standout Folsom QB. Reithmeier led the section with 39 touchdown passes.
RB — Kimoni Stanley Sierra (Manteca), Jr.
Blackhat Football's Junior of the Year rushed for a section-best 2,024 yards. Stanley also had 33 rushing touchdowns.
RB — Hans Grassmann, Placer (Auburn), Sr.
Grassmann is back on the All-Section team as he plowed his way into the end zone 27 times this year for the Hillmen.
RB — Kaden Christensen, Escalon, Sr.
The Modesto Bee Player of the Year rushed for 133 yards and two scores in a 52-21 state-title win over La Jolla.
WR — Elijhah Badger, Folsom, Sr.
The Arizona State signee led the section with 20 receiving touchdowns, hauling in 79 receptions.
WR — Lawrence Harris, Downey (Modesto), Sr.
Harris averaged 21.9 yards per reception this season. The senior caught 48 balls, had 17 touchdowns and 1,050 yards receiving.
WR — Jacob De Jesus, Manteca, Sr.
The Manteca wide out was Blackhat Football's 2019 Offensive Player of the Year. De Jesus caught 64 passes and had 16 receiving touchdowns.
TE — Kaleo Ballungay Kimball (Tracy), Sr.
The 2020 commit has 10 offers from FBS colleges and for good reason. The 6-6 tight end averaged 19 yards per catch in 2019.
OL — Everett Johnson, Turlock, Sr.
The 6-7 Cal signee was a beast for the Bulldogs. Johnson was voted the Central California Athletic League Offensive Lineman of the Year.
OL — Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan, Davis, Sr.
The Blue Devils' senior was voted the Delta League's Offensive Lineman of the Year as Davis finished 10-2 overall.
OL — Kevin Good, Whitney (Rocklin), Sr.
Good was named a first team All SFL lineman and helped the Wildcats reach the Division II section finals.
OL — Isaiah Tupou, Grant (Sacramento), Sr.
In a league full of talent, the BYU signee was named Sierra Foothill Lineman of the Year.
ATH — Youlas Dickson III, Buhach Colony (Atwater), Sr.
Blackhat Football's Player of the Year did it all for the Thunder. He was an impact player on offense, defense and special teams.
K — Cole Becker, Rocklin, Jr.
The junior was tied for a section best with 14 total field goals. He also had 30 touchbacks on the season.
DL — Peyton Bradford, Oakdale, Sr.
Bradford was the Valley Oak League Defensive Player of the Year as he was do-it-all player for the Mustangs.
DL — Bradley Rankin, Casa Roble (Orangevale), Sr.
Led the section with 19 total sacks while compiling114 total tackles.
DL — David Camacho, Escalon, Sr.
The Trans-Valley Defensive Player of the Year led the Cougars to a 2019 state title.
DL — Deshawn Lynch, Folsom, Sr.
The 6-5 senior was named the 2019 Lineman of the Year in the Sierra Foothill League. The 2020 recruit has nine FBS offers.
LB — Austin Hauptman, Whitney, Jr.
The junior was all over the place on defense with 142 tackles, 16 for a loss.
LB — Christian Awwad, Rocklin, Sr.
Had 70 solo tackles this season for the Thunder. The senior linebacker also had 15 tackles for a loss.
LB — Nate Ruiz, Buhach Colony (Atwater), Jr.
The Central California Athletic League Defensive Player helped the Thunder to a 10-0 regular-season record.
LB — Zachary Brooks, Davis, Jr.
Named the Delta League Defensive Player of the Year as a junior. He was in on 123 tackles this season.
DB — Danny Hernandez, Ripon, Sr.
A huge reason the Indians won a state championship this season. Hernandez was a playmaker on both sides of the ball.
DB — Aaron Espero Inderkum (Sacramento), Sr.
Another player who made plays on both sides of the ball, he had over 800 yards rushing and added six interceptions on defense.
DB — DeMarco Brodnax, Rosemont (Sacramento), Sr.
The senior WR/DB had over 1,400 yards receiving and hauled in 18 touchdowns. He also had 6 picks as a DB.
DB — Avant Jacobs, Oak Ridge, Sr.
A do-it-all player had five interceptions and 50 solo tackles. He also caught 69 passes for 1,020 yards and eight touchdowns.
P — Brandon Bautista-Rundgren, Franklin (Elk Grove), Sr.
The Delta All-League punter averaged over 43 yards per punt. He also threw eight touchdowns as a quarterback for the Wildcats.
