BIGGEST MOVER: Freedom-Oakley and Monterey Trail-Elk Grove each jumped six spots this week. For Monterey Trail, that means a Top 20 debut at No. 14 after convincing wins over Sheldon-Sacramento (1-1) and previous No. 19 San Ramon Valley-Danville (1-1). Freedom has picked up a narrow victory (over Turlock) and a blowout one (Windsor) in its first two games under new coach Andrew Cotter. The Falcons are one of three Bay Valley Athletic League teams inside the Top 20 along with No. 3 Liberty and No. 6 Pittsburg. The BVAL also has Antioch (No. 24 in the Next 5) and Deer Valley-Antioch (2-0).
